The group IT/EDP offers software and hardware support for all employees and guests of the institute.

Of fundamental importance are user administration, the provision of file services (including backup), network services, as well as ensuring IT security and managing licences. We also maintain the printers and the telephone system within the institute.

All working groups are supported by us in repairs/modifications of electronic devices, problems with hard-/software and IT projects.

An important role is also played by the support of the seminar rooms and the lecture hall to ensure smooth operation for presentations of all kinds. If required, we also provide the needed hardware to reach listeners outside the institute by means of webstreaming.

Some central services are provided in close cooperation by the Gesellschaft für Wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung Göttingen (GWDG). Of particular interest to the staff of our institute are the mail server, the GWDG cloud and the public WLAN Eduroam.
