On the Autobahn A7 from Hannover or Kassel, take the exit "Göttingen Nord" on the B27 towards Braunlage. After apprimately 4 km turn right before the underpass towards the hospital. At the 2nd set of traffic lights, the entrance to the institute is directly on the right (opposite the clinic).
After arrival in Frankfurt/Main:
From the airport from the AIRail Terminal by ICE directly to Göttingen or to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (central station) and from there by ICE to Göttingen.
After arrival in Hannover:
From the airport by taxi (approx. 20 euros, journey time approx. 20 minutes) or by S-Bahn line S5 (journey time approx. 15 minutes) to Hannover Hauptbahnhof (central station) and from there by ICE to Göttingen.
By Public Transportation
After arriving in Göttingen take the City exit to the bus station, take bus line 21 to Nikolausberg and get off it at the stop Robert-Koch-Straße. The entrance to the institute is about 100 m further on the opposite side of the street.
From Göttingen Central Station, take the WEST exit and take a taxi to the Max Planck Institute in Hermann-Rein-Straße 3.
Bus connections from the Max Planck Institute of Experimental Medicine to the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry
From the bus stop „Robert-Koch-Straße“ (appr. 100 m to the right on the opposite side of the street from the institute) you can take bus lines 21 or 22 (directions Nikolausberg) to the MPI for Biophysical Chemistry. Please get off at the „Faßberg“ stop.
You can also get to the MPI for Biophysical Chemistry from the bus stop "Robert-Koch-Straße" with bus line 23. Please get off at the final stop "Faßberg". Please note that line 23 runs from Monday to Friday and Sunday evening only and does not operate between July 17 to September 30, 2021.
