Max Planck Institute of Experimental Medicine
Welcome to the Max Planck Institute of Experimental Medicine
The scientists of our institute are biologists and physicians who research how the brain and nervous system function and how neurological and psychiatric diseases can be explained by misdirected molecular processes. We hope that the results of this work will provide starting points for new therapies for previously incurable human diseases. Basic research at the Max Planck Institute of Experimental Medicine is carried out in the direct vicinity of the University Medical Center Göttingen, with which there is close cooperation at various levels.
